SAL's Thursday Ladies Day is an easy excuse to swap the city for the sand. The Jumeirah Saadiyat beach club combines pale sand, loungers and a proper Mediterranean restaurant for a full day by the water. Spend the morning at the pool, settle in for lunch and keep an eye on the clock: the Ladies Day programme ends at 6pm, although the restaurant stays open later.
