yapped is a local discovery platform that helps people find venues, events, offers and experiences in Dubai.
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the yapped website, mobile applications and related services. By using yapped, you agree to these terms.
You may use yapped to discover places, browse events, save favourites, redeem offers and share content with others.
You agree to use yapped lawfully and respectfully. You must not:
Some features require an account. When you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity that happens under your account.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or otherwise harm the platform or other users.
yapped publishes editorial content, venue listings, event information and offers. We aim to keep everything accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee that every detail is complete or error-free.
Venues, event organisers and partner businesses are responsible for the accuracy of the information they provide to us. Offers and events may be subject to separate terms set by the provider.
Offers shown on yapped are provided by participating venues and partners. Each offer has its own terms, including eligibility, expiry, exclusions and any mandatory fees.
When you redeem an offer, the venue may ask to see your redemption code or account. yapped is not responsible for disputes between you and the venue, but we will do our best to help resolve them.
yapped and its content, including text, images, logos, software and design, are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify or create derivative works from yapped content without our permission, except where allowed for personal, non-commercial use.
yapped may link to or integrate with third-party websites, maps, booking platforms and payment providers. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and policies.
We are not responsible for the content, availability or practices of third-party services.
You can delete your yapped account at any time from the app: open You, scroll to Danger zone and tap Delete account. If you cannot access the app, you can request deletion at /delete-account.
When an account is deleted, your personal data is hard-deleted immediately: your profile, name, handle, email, avatar, saved places, lists, check-ins, preferences and notification settings. Reviews you posted, offer redemptions and audit entries are anonymised rather than deleted, so they can no longer be traced back to you while venue ratings and redemption records remain accurate.
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. We may also suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, yapped is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.
Our total liability for any claim relating to yapped is limited to the amount you paid us to use the service, or zero if the service was free.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time as yapped grows and our services evolve.
When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date below and, where appropriate, notify users through the app or website.
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Dubai.
