Blue water, a bright Mediterranean menu and just enough polish to make a long afternoon feel like an occasion. SAL occupies the beachfront at Jumeirah Saadiyat Island with a separate restaurant, pool and beach club. Come for a leisurely lunch beside the sea, or book a daybed and stay for the late-afternoon DJ sets. The setting does much of the work, but the seafood and crisp salads give you a reason to stay for dinner.

“The restaurant opens noon–11pm, while pool access is 10am–7pm and the beach closes at 6.30pm. Beach and pool access is for guests 21+, although lunch at the restaurant welcomes all ages. Book the right experience rather than a normal restaurant table.”
