If you're visiting Strawfire for the first time, this is a good way to meet the kitchen. First Taste is a AED 450-per-person sharing menu for the whole table, moving through Japanese wagyu sashimi, tuna tartare, straw-fired avocado, sushi, prawn toast, dry-aged striploin and a dessert platter. The central warayaki grill supplies the theatre, but the food more than holds its own.
