Roaya Saleh’s Villa Mamas brings the flavours of the Gulf to a table that feels made for sharing. Bahraini mahyawa turns up on warm sourdough naan, familiar dishes take small, thoughtful detours and the kitchen handles vegetables with as much care as its meat. It is the sort of place to bring a group, order more than you planned and let lunch run long. A much more interesting choice than another anonymous hotel buffet.
