The Barsha Heights Spanish spot that understands dinner should occasionally come with clapping. Lola does proper tapas, paella, jamón and big sharing plates in a laid-back taberna, then adds live flamenco and just enough chaos to make a sensible early night unlikely.

“Go hungry and order like a table in Spain: jamón, croquetas, tortilla and something big for the middle. If there are enough of you, the cochinillo is the commitment move; the 5kg suckling pig feeds around six to eight and needs 24 hours’ notice.”
