Winter City returns to Al Wasl Plaza from 11 to 31 December under the banner Once Upon a Holiday, and this year Disney+ is doing the decorating. Three film worlds are confirmed: Frozen, Toy Story and Home Alone, spread across themed zones you can walk through rather than queue for.
Beyond the zones there is snow falling beneath the dome, outdoor screenings of festive films, Santa's Grotto, the Christmas market and Mrs Claus' Bakery. Enough to fill an evening without turning it into a shopping marathon.
“Start with the three Disney+ zones (Frozen, Toy Story, Home Alone), then time the market and Mrs Claus' Bakery around the film screening. Book ahead if a Santa visit matters: express entry and guaranteed grotto access carry different ticket terms.”
“General admission starts at AED 60; express entry is AED 175. Children aged three and under and eligible people of determination with a caregiver enter free. Disney+ has confirmed Frozen, Toy Story and Home Alone themed zones, but the daily film schedule and screening times are not published yet, so check on arrival. Arrive near 4pm to get around before the evening crowds.”
