Halloween falls on Saturday, but Dubai is making a week of it. There are films under the stars, spooky quizzes, family brunches and parties with enough costume potential to justify that increasingly elaborate outfit.

Here’s our lineup, night by night.

Thursday, 29 October: Cookies, Casper and Quiz Questions

ICD Brookfield Place brings Casper to The Courtyard, with the free movie-night programme starting at 6.30pm and seating first come, first served. Jowetts handles the bites.

Rise Bakehouse’s cookie-decorating workshop starts at 7pm, priced at AED 100 per person. Book ahead on WhatsApp, and check the film’s screening time if you’re hoping to do both.

Earlier in the day, The Strand’s TMC Dubai Breakfast Club gets a Halloween edition at AED 178.50.

Then McGettigan’s JBR hands the microphone to DJ Nappa for a free Halloween quiz from 8pm. There are prizes for the scariest costume, so your team’s chances needn’t rest entirely on general knowledge.

Friday, 30 October: Start the Costume Rotation

Wafi City’s free Frightfully Fun Halloween runs 4pm to 8pm, with more activities across the weekend.

At Trader Vic’s JBR, the Tiki Halloween Ladies and Gents Night starts at 7pm. A two-hour package of selected cocktails and house drinks costs AED 99 for ladies and AED 149 for gents.

Radisson RED in Silicon Oasis has children’s activities at AED 50, followed by the REDROOF party from 9pm. BLU Dubai adds another late-night option.

Saturday, 31 October: The Main Event

Start Outdoors

The Halloween Run at Palm West Beach sets off at 8.30am, with entry from AED 75. A chance to discover whether your costume has any sporting potential.

Prefer a seated activity? Paus Club’s pumpkin carving costs AED 250 plus VAT. House of Hype’s Enchanted Carnival starts from AED 149.

Make It a Family Lunch

There’s plenty of choice, so start with the location and package that suit your group:

  • Into the Jungle at Giardino, Palazzo Versace: Saturday and Sunday from 1pm. Soft-drinks packages from AED 400, children AED 190.
  • Supa Dupa Fly at Address Beach Resort: adults from AED 275, children AED 150.
  • Crescendo at Anantara The Palm: AED 449 soft, AED 549 house, AED 749 champagne.
  • FireLake Grill House: packages from AED 395.
  • Reform Social & Grill’s Halloween Shenanigans: AED 125 adults, AED 99 children.
  • Candypots’ Monster Ball at Akira Back: packages from AED 399.

Let Brunch Run Into the Evening

The Guild’s Welcome to the Freak Show offers three seatings: noon, 4.30pm and 9pm. The noon sitting is the family option, with circus theatrics and costume prizes on the agenda.

Orilla’s Halloween Drunch and Costume Party has packages at AED 275 soft, AED 390 house and AED 475 Prosecco.

At Trader Vic’s JBR, the evening Tiki brunch runs 7pm to 10pm, with a live DJ and DIY Mai Tai station. Packages are AED 275 soft, AED 325 house and AED 525 premium. Your costume won’t be your only creation of the night.

Take the Costume Dancing

Koko Bay’s Haunted Island brings the party to Palm West Beach, with packages from AED 199.

Over in City Walk, Look Up Rooftop offers entry and a cocktail from AED 99. Two different settings for the outfit’s big appearance.

Still on the Calendar

Dubai Miracle Garden’s Blooms and Spooky Garden festival continues through 31 October, included with garden admission. The Halloween Cup at Al Habtoor Polo Club offers free entry during the week.

Pick your night, check the package and get your people together. That costume has waited long enough.
