Hakkasan Dubai reopens on Wednesday 23 September after a summer pause.

Executive Chef Andy Toh returns with the signature Cantonese dishes and a new drinks menu ready for investigation.

Useful news. It has been a long summer without the dim sum.

What Is Coming Back?

The favourites are back: premium dim sum, jasmine tea-smoked Wagyu ribs, crispy spicy beef, black-pepper rib-eye and grilled black cod with truffle.

Then there is the Peking duck. A whole one costs AED 698, or AED 1,388 with 30g of caviar. Sharing is the idea. Defending the final pancake is understandable.

Set menus start at AED 428 per person for the vegetarian Lotus Menu, rising to AED 538 for Dragon and AED 738 for Pearl. All require at least two diners.

The current Hakkasan menu is already online, but check the final prices when booking in case anything changes for reopening.

“Dubai hasn't gained a new restaurant. It has got one of its best special-occasion bookings back.”

What Is New?

The drinks are new too.

Hakkasan is returning with a refreshed list covering cocktails, wine, alcohol-free pours and house kombuchas. The details remain under wraps, so Wednesday’s first bookings have one job: investigate and report back.

Who Should Book It?

Hakkasan is built for serious dates, celebrations and family dinners where one basket of dim sum is merely the opening move.

Families can dine from 6pm to 8.30pm, although Atlantis specifies the 6pm and 6.30pm seatings for children aged four and over. After 8.30pm, it is ages ten and above. Confirm the policy for younger children when booking.

Dinner runs Tuesday to Saturday, 6pm to 11.30pm, with the bar open until 12.30am.

This is polished, shareable and firmly priced for a big night. That is exactly why its return matters.
