Dinner or a cooking lesson? Pai Thai is offering both.

Blue Elephant founder Nooror Somany Steppe joins head chef Amara Mahayothee for two dinners on 16 and 17 October, plus a hands-on Saturday masterclass at Jumeirah Al Qasr. Let them do the cooking, or pay attention and bring a few skills home.

Just Here for Dinner?

Choose three courses for AED 395 or five for AED 695, with drinks charged separately.

The menu draws on both restaurants, with jumbo river prawn tom yum among the highlights. Dessert brings together Emirati dates, Thai mung bean and jasmine essence, inspired by a recipe from Nooror’s mother. A family connection that gives this collaboration more substance than the usual two-chef photo opportunity. Dinner starts at 6pm on both nights, and all ages are welcome.

“Let the chefs cook, or learn a few tricks to take home.”

Or Bring a Few Skills Home

The 17 October masterclass runs from 11am to 2.30pm, with pomelo salad, purple dumplings, red prawn curry and mango sticky rice on the advertised line-up. A three-course lunch follows the cooking.

It’s AED 695 with soft drinks or AED 895 with a wine pairing at lunch.

The minimum age is 13. Jumeirah says guests aged 18 and under must be accompanied by an adult, so check how to book both places if you’re bringing a teenager.

Which Would We Book?

Dinner for a date or a proper catch-up. The masterclass if you want to roll up your sleeves and leave with a few new skills.

The five-course dinner and masterclass with soft drinks both cost AED 695, but the latter also includes a three-course lunch. Worth weighing up if you’re as interested in making the food as eating it.
