Social Distrikt is handing Halloween over to the kids from Friday 30 October to Sunday 1 November, with a chocolate workshop, face painting and seasonal activities at its Downtown food hall.
Three days to get some mileage out of the costume. That elaborate outfit was never going to earn its keep in one outing.
Less Screaming, More Chocolate
The Spooky Dessert Workshop runs from 2–6pm, with a hands-on chocolate experience free for the first 50 children. The poster doesn’t say whether that limit resets each day, so check before promising anyone a place.
Free face painting runs from noon–9pm, alongside paid Halloween games and activities with Piccoli. There’s plenty to get involved in, though not everything comes without a bill.
The food-hall setting makes it easy to build a meal around the visit. Lunch before chocolate-making might be the easier order to negotiate.
Know Before You Go
The timetable is confirmed, but age guidance, prices for the paid activities and workshop registration details are still to come.
Ask how workshop places are allocated, whether adults need to join in and which ages can participate. Bringing siblings? Check they can attend together. Flag any food allergies before securing a workshop place.
If chocolate-making is the main attraction, aim for the start of the 2pm workshop window. Face paint can wait. The fiftieth place might not.
