Paus has quite a Saturday lined up: clay, shopping, a debate about ghosting and a microphone waiting at the end of it.

The October Block Party takes over Paus in Al Wasl on Saturday, 31 October, from 9am to 8pm. Entry is free, with classes and workshops priced separately. Pick a session or two. Leave room for a browse.

Stretch First, Shop Later

Slow Sessions starts at 9am in The Lounge, pairing deep stretching with clay play until 10.30am. It’s AED 150 plus VAT for a morning that moves from working on yourself to making something with your hands.

The Paus Market opens at 10am, with homegrown brands, handcrafted goods and wellness finds until 6pm. Meet the makers and see what catches your eye. “Just looking” is a perfectly respectable starting position.

“AED 50 includes a drink and a roomful of people who, reassuringly, showed up.”

Matcha With Opinions

At 11am, Matcha Mornings asks whether ghosting is ever acceptable. AED 50 includes a drink and a roomful of people who, reassuringly, showed up.

Bring an opinion. There should be plenty to discuss.

Move a Little. Make a Monster.

Deep Stretch runs 1.15pm to 2.15pm in Studio 2, with slow stretching and gentle mobility work for AED 75.

Over in The Lounge, Creators’ Club Halloween Pumpkin Carving with The Masterclass runs 2pm to 4pm. The family-friendly session costs AED 250 plus VAT. Choose a pumpkin, give it a face and decide just how alarming your doorstep should look.

Pilates Sculpt follows in Studio 2 at 3pm, with 45 minutes of high-intensity, Pilates-inspired movement for AED 75. It overlaps with the carving, so choose your afternoon project.

Stay for the Mic

From 6pm to 8pm, Open Mic: Poetry & Music takes over The Eatery. It’s free to perform or listen, with local voices giving the day its final word.

Come for the market, book something hands-on or arrive for the evening’s performances. There’s no prize for doing the whole programme. Finding something you fancy is enough.
