Diwali plans don’t have to mean a late night or an expensive ticket. Getting the whole family to agree may still cost you an afternoon.

Dubai’s Festival of Lights runs from 2–12 November, with Diwali on Sunday 8 November. There are early starts among the flowers, beach parties and arena singalongs to choose from. Some are ready to book; others still need confirmed dates and details.

For the Singalong

Shaan brings his All of Me tour to Coca-Cola Arena on Sunday 25 October, with tickets from AED 150. You’ve been rehearsing in the car for years. This is your evening.

Atif Aslam follows at Coca-Cola Arena on Friday 27 November, with tickets from AED 150. It’s outside the Diwali dates, but a familiar voice doesn’t need a festive excuse.

Taking the children to either show? Check age and seating rules before booking.

“Diwali doesn’t need a big budget or a late night. Just a plan the family can agree on. Good luck with that last bit.”

For a Family Morning

Bloom & Glow at Dubai Miracle Garden brings a parade, rangoli, diya painting, performances and an Indian food and sweets market before the garden’s usual 9am opening. Finally, a plan that works with the children’s unreasonable waking hours.

Packages start at AED 129, with a November date still to be confirmed. The event ticket doesn’t include regular garden admission, so don’t promise a full day among the flowers.

For Dressing Up and Going Out

Pataakha comes to Surf Club on Wednesday 4 November, with a pre-Diwali beach party and festive dress encouraged. The good outfit deserves more than a family WhatsApp photo.

Entry before midnight is AED75 for women and AED125 for men, including one drink. Prices rise afterwards, so check your ticket’s arrival cut-off.

For a Wander, Not a Big Night Out

Al Seef, Festival Bay, BurJuman and Global Village are on the watchlist, but their detailed 2026 Diwali programmes still need confirming. Wait for dates before promising the children fireworks. They will remember.

Pick what suits your people. A concert, a workshop or an evening wander is plenty. Diwali doesn’t need a completion badge.

Dubai’s Festival of Lights runs 2–12 November 2026. Pataakha falls on 4 November, with Shaan on 25 October and Atif Aslam on 27 November either side of the celebrations. Bloom & Glow’s date is still to come.
